Changing Browser Settings Back to Previous State:

During the installation process you may have been prompted to install an optional offer. If you decided to install an optional offer, and you would like to revert your browser's settings to its previous state, please follow the appropriate instructions below:

To Uninstall a Toolbar or Another Type of Browser Extension:

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the Windows Start button
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Click Programs > Programs and Features or Uninstall a program
  4. Select a toolbar and then click Uninstall/Change above the list of programs

Firefox

  1. Click the Firefox button (or Tools menu in Windows XP) at the top of the browser window
  2. Select Add-ons
  3. Select Extensions
  4. Click the Disable or Remove button forelevant toolbar

Chrome*

  1. Click the settings (wrench/3 horizonal lines) icon
  2. Select Tools > Extensions
  3. Click the Remove button for the relevant toolbar
  4. * If these directions do not match your version of Chrome, please paste the following URL into your address bar: chrome://chrome/extensions/

To Restore Your Default Home/Start Page:

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the Tools dropdown menu
  2. Select Internet options
  3. In the Home page box, enter the URL of the web page you want as your default home page
  4. Click OK

Firefox

  1. Click the Firefox button (or Tools menu in Windows XP) at the top of the Firefox window
  2. Select Options
  3. Select the General panel
  4. Enter the URL of the web page you want as your default home page
  5. Click OK

Chrome*

Restoring the default home page:

  1. Click the settings (wrench/3 horizonal lines) icon on the browser
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the Appearance section, under the "Show Home button" check box, click "Change"
  4. Select the Basics tab
  5. In the "Home page" window, choose the option you prefer for your home page

Restoring the default start page:

  1. Click the settings wrench/3 horizonal lines) icon on the browser
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the On startup section, there are three options that control your startup page. choose the option that you prefer

To Restore Your Default Search Engine:

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the Tools dropdown menu
  2. Select Manage Add-ons
  3. Select Search Providers
  4. Select your preferred search provider (or click Find more search providers...)
  5. Click Set as default

Firefox

  1. Click the down arrow in the Firefox Search bar (in the top-right corner of the Firefox window)
  2. Select a new search engine

Chrome*

  1. Click the settings (wrench/3 horizonal lines) icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the Search section, select your preferred search engine in the drop-down menu
  4. For more options, click Manage search engines
